Discovering a Hidden Paradise in Bantigue
Bantigue is a white-sand beach resort. Oops, please don’t react yet. Read on…
I’ve never been there. That would be an adventure. Exciting!
It must be expensive! If I wanted to be rich, then should not to squander some money on expensive getaways. Imagining the irresistible white sandy shore lusciously kissing on the soles of my feet, my hesitation abated. My eyes voluntarily woke up even earlier than the 5:30AM wake up alarm on Sunday the 13th in May.
Itching to see a preview of where we would be going, I consulted Google. Confirmed! With photos of golden sunsets, tall palm trees and bleached WHITE sand paradise, I thought it’s going to be a “dollar” trip. My shoulders didn’t drop down, though. If it’s worth it, then every penny of it is worth it. Who cares about dollars?

Premarital Sex Now Trending
From almost every direction in the church, I saw young pregnant girls cuddling with their young partners or maybe husbands. If I was right, they were in their teens. I ignored it but later, at the park, again I saw another batch of young women who are pregnant. I am almost 30 and I still don’t have a child. And I have been girlfriendless for more than a year. Was I teased to get a girlfriend and have a child soonest? Kidding aside, I was bothered at what I saw.

Make Money From The Internet
First of all, I won’t claim that I have acquired millions from these ideas because I haven’t. These are not easy ways to get money, which I don’t believe truly existed. One has to put some effort to acquire something. Even instant millionaires like those who won lotto did some effort of getting into the line standing for hours, writing, etc. Like anything else, our output is the derivative of our input.

A Minute with a Priest
It’s amazing how small things like talking to a priest could change your mood and outlook about life. One thing that bugged me these past few weeks is death. I fear that I die prematurely. Death is premature for me if I die not achieving my greatest, if not all my dreams. With the thought of doomsday, I could die sooner than expected. No…..! It can’t happen! But no matter how I force myself to think of good things and that those fears are only in my mind, I still can’t puppet-control what pops in my head. And it’s showing in my health and on my face. I’ve been grumpy and I didn’t notice that until a friend told me about it.

An Enlightening Visit to The Doctor
I know I looked like a clown blissfully smiling when I when left the clinic. I’m not going to die soon, not yet and not because of cancer! That is certain. Every time I touch the lymph nodes on my belly and on my left arm, I imagine of dying with cancer. And if I’d be lucky to survive, I imagine myself bald because that’s the after effect of chemotherapy.

A Deja vu Escapade during Holy Week in Danasan Eco Park
Inside the cave, every inch on the icy water with soft minerals brushing through my skin felt like I was reenacting a memorable experience I once had in the past. Every step seemed to unravel each perfect reel from a dream. “I must have been here before,” I told myself.
Before such dream-like adventure inside the cave of Danasan, we had a quite “ride of a lifetime”. It was like traveling on a tormented sea, except that we were

The Perfect Dream I Wasted
A lot of my writings are inspired from my dreams and nightmares. Last night’s was the most vivid dreams I’ve ever had. I woke up reminiscing all the intricate details of my dream. I remember all the names of the character and some of the scenes. I tried to run through my memory if those characters were similar to the movies I’ve watched before. I was certain I haven’t seen them

Reminiscing My Yehey's and Uh-oh's After Graduation
The sweetness of summer heat reminds me of “yehey” and “uh-oh” feelings after graduation. I didn’t have to sleep late at night or wake up early and suffer the cold water every morning. There would be no exams or school assignments so I would have more time for TV and play.

Johnny's Confession - My Boss
Not everyone is born to be a boss. This is what Johnny wrote on his Facebook wall. I talked to him one day and this is his story.
He feels that his career is at stake. The company he’s working for is in crisis, and then his situation gets even worse. Even before the crisis, he already felt that his boss expects him to leave anytime. His

The Love of the Second Language English
English is only my second language. The first language I’ve learned and used (other than baby language) was Filipino specifically the local dialect Bisaya. During my childhood years, my spoken dialect has its distinct intonation that people from the city used to laugh at. I came from Siquijor so I also have a stong “Siquijor accent”, which is a little akin to the intonation of the people from Bohol. I studied college in Iligan City, where I have met different dialects. Since that time, my “accent” seemed to have a new flavor. Whenever I go back home however, it always amazes me how my tongue comfortably tunes back into its original intonation. I just simply love my own dialect! Read more:

I Am Busy - The Lamest Excuse
“Don’t wait for big things before you start.” This was one of the striking lines that seemed to flash in my memory after reading Bo Sanchez’s article. Every week, I keep on receiving emails from him for my Soulfood subscription. Early that day before I opened Bo’s article, I wrote a blog related to success but it was full of questions. I sighed in relief reading his teaching to reaffirm my ‘ideology’. Read more:
How to Become Successful
I want to be an author. I want to be a singer. I want to be a rich businessman. And the list goes on and on. For sure everyone wants something in life, a dream.
I love to imagine myself having all or any of these dreams coming true. It gives me a little glimpse of what I want to see in the future. With a little tease of my future self, I find myself gaining a little more confidence of myself. Imagining however isn’t enough.

Filipinos Should Not Leave The Country
One US dollar is equivalent to 42 Philippine pesos as of this writing. It implies that it only takes to have at least 24,000 US dollar to become a millionaire in the Philippines. That is very enticing, isn’t it? Assuming you have a stable job waiting abroad (not only the US) it is really temping to leave the country. We can’t deny that most Filipinos working abroad have improved their living status. They have big houses, luxurious cars, and other material things. They can afford expensive vacation trips. They can provide expensive education for their children. Behind their lavish living however they have experienced lots of hardships and sacrifices that people in the community are not aware of. With that, I could say they also deserve to enjoy what they’ve acquired abroad. Despite greener pastures abroad, there are still valid reasons Filipinos should stay in the country.
